Add a new link to your links page

Time Spent: 12 minutes
Receive an email from a webmaster wanting his link posted to your links pages.  Open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and code the new link.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the link was posted correctly.  Email the webmaster back telling him his link has been added to your links page.

Time Spent: 1 minute
The webmaster adds his own link through your LinksManager account.  You receive an email informing you of a new link to approve.  You approve it with one mouse click.  The new link is immediately added to one or more links pages, while an email is sent automatically to the webmaster of the new link.

Rotate your links pages alphabetically to begin with the next letter

Time Spent: 23 minutes
Open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and cut and paste code, so your first links page begins with the next letter in the alphabet.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the pages were posted correctly.

Time Spent: 0 minutes
Upon your request, LinksManager has automatically updated all of your links pages, so they begin with the next letter in the alphabet.  Done nightly, this requires no user intervention at all. Why should the websites that start with the letter A always be first on your links pages?

Check for "dead" links to see if any lead to closed web pages, then delete the "dead" links from your links pages

Time Spent: 45 minutes
Open your links pages in your web browser.  Click on each link to see if it is still working, or if it is "dead".  Make note of each "dead" link on paper.  Once complete, open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and delete the "dead" links.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the pages were posted correctly.

Check your LinksManager account to see an ordered list of all links, with "dead" links flagged.  Done nightly, LinksManager has checked each link automatically, without any user intervention.  Dead links are temporarily removed from your links pages automatically.  When they become available again, the links reappear on your links pages without your intervention.  Or, if you choose, all active dead links can be deleted with one mouse click.

Edit an existing link on your links pages

Time Spent: 45 minutes
Receive an email from a webmaster wanting his existing link edited.  Open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and code the edit to the existing link.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the link was posted correctly.  Email the webmaster back telling him his link has been edited per his request.

Time Spent: 1 minute
The webmaster edits his own link through your LinksManager account.  You receive an email informing you of the edit.  You approve it with one mouse click.  Your links pages are immediately updated with the edited link.

Change the fonts, font size, and background color of all your links pages

Time Spent: 35 minutes
Open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and change the fonts, font size, and background color on the first links page.  Repeat this step for the other 11 links pages.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the pages were posted correctly.

Time Spent: 1 minute
Using LinksManager's Cosmetic Controls, you change the fonts and font size for all your links pages with two mouse clicks.  You then select a new background color, and save the change to all of your links pages with one mouse click.

Add 6 new links to your links pages

Time Spent: 20 minutes
Receive an email from a 6 webmasters wanting their links posted to your links pages.  Open your FTP software and download your links pages.  Open your HTML editor and code the 6 new links.  FTP the edited links pages back to the server.  Check to make sure the links were posted correctly.  Email each of the 6 webmasters back telling them their links have been added to your links pages.

Each of the 6 webmasters adds his own link through your LinksManager account.  You receive an email informing you of 6 new links to approve.  You approve all 6 with one mouse click each.  Each new link is immediately added to one or more links pages, while an email is sent automatically to the 6 webmasters telling them their link has been added.

Check to see if your link exists on each of the websites seen on your own links pages (i.e., reciprocal links)

Time Spent: 62 minutes
Open your links pages in your web browser.  Click on each link opening the linked website.  Search for your link on the website.  Make note on paper which websites are linking back to you, and which are not, in addition to the webmasters' email addresses on each website you are linking to.  Once complete, email each webmaster who you are linking to, but who is not linking back to you and ask them to add your link to their links pages.

Time Spent: 1 minute
Check your LinksManager account to see an ordered list of all links, showing which linked websites are linking back to you, and which are not.  With one mouse click, a custom  email is sent to the webmaster of all sites not linking back to you, asking them to do so.
